Google Summer of Code (GSoC) is a global program that offers student developers stipends to write code for various open source software projects. More than 100 organizations including Apache Software Foundation are participating in this program that offers an excellent opportunity for the students all over the globe to actively involve in open source development. OpenJPA team had offered several projects on behalf of Apache Software Foundation to participate in GSoC 2009.
