We are a top level project under the Apache Foundation, graduating from incubation on February 18th, 2010. There is significant history, culture, and processes we inherit from being a part of the foundation:


The most significant way we differ from the general ASF guidelines is that we grant committers binding -1 veto rights on technical votes (see: Cassandra Project Governance for details; applies to both code commits and CEP's).
