DESCRIPTION Apache Flume is a distributed, reliable, and available system for efficiently collecting, aggregating, and moving large amounts of log data to scalable data storage systems such as Apache Hadoop's HDFS. RELEASES * Work for releasing Flume version 1.3.0 is underway and expected to be completed by end of the month. * The last release of Flume was version 1.2.0, released on July 26, 2012 CURRENT ACTIVITY * Development activity continues as can be seen from the following report: http://s.apache.org/zls COMMUNITY * PMC Composition has not changed since the last report. * Patrick Wendell joined as committer on 11/11/2012. He is affiliated to Berkley AMPLabs. * A user-group meetup was held on October 25, 2012 at PulsePoint headquarters in New York. This was attended by 20 people in all. * Currently there are: - Total of 138 subscribers to the developer list - Total of 324 subscribers to the user list - Total of 22 committers - Total of 20 PMC members ISSUES * There are no issues requiring board attention at this time.
