This is the home page for the Apache Wink space.
Apache Wink is an Apache Incubator project. The Apache Wink proposal contains the basic information. In short:
Apache Wink is a project that enables development and consumption of REST style web services. The core server runtime is based on the JAX-RS (JSR 311) standard. The project also introduces a client runtime which can leverage certain components of the server-side runtime. Apache Wink will deliver component technology that can be easily integrated into a variety of environments. |
There are two mailing lists available for the Wink project:
wink-dev: The development mailing list with discussion about defects and project happenings.
wink-commits: The mailing list for notifications of commits to the repository.
To subscribe to each of the lists, send an email to "wink-dev-subscribe" or "wink-commits-subscribe" @incubator.apache.org. You will receive an email with further instructions for confirming your subscription.
As with many Apache projects, we have an IRC channel on Freenode: click apache-wink or connect to Freenode with your favorite IRC client and /join apache-wink.
It's possible to use a Web Client.
The Project Guidelines define the roles in the project, communication methods, how decisions are made, and other important information.[]
The runtime comparison suggest list of criteria to compare the suggested initial runtimes
This is what we would like to discuss in the architecture meeting in IRC.
