OFBiz Committer and former PMC Member Adrian Crum passed away 1st January 2016. He had been a part of the OFBIz project for a long time and his loss is strongly felt. This page has been setup in memory of Adrian for the community to share any stories, quotes and experiences that they have had with him.

I had been working with Adrian on a proposed framework sub project and to get started he sent me some links to some videos to watch about good API design. As a non technical person I was a bit overwhelmed and joked that by the time I got through all the videos that I would be dreaming about 'APIs'.

He responded 'I always dream about API design!'.

Adrian was so passionate about his work and this is a terrible loss for our community.  I was fortunate enough to meet him in person back in 2010 when he flew into Salt Lake solely to hangout with a few of us at HotWax. Myself, Tim Ruppert, Mike Bates and Mridul Pathak met him for a few drinks and we ended up partying with him into the early hours of the morning.  He was a great character and I'll sorely miss his presence in the community.  Rest in peace Adrian.

I approached him about doing a talk in Austin last year and he was so keen and positive to do something that could help promote the project. I also I remember that he laughed a lot when I told him that some people
saw him as the 'Gatekeeper of the Framework' because he was so thorough in his reviews!
