- TomTom Maps uses Apache Giraph for building graph indexes to do highly scalable location reference encoding. A giraph jobs is part of a larger process, which produces a lookup index for subsequent hadoop jobs (based on crunch). Our current usage is limited to one little component, but it helped us operating within the given time constraints. We are planning to use it more. Our domain is oviously digital maps and geospatial data, in the specific case, the road network. – André Kelpe
