This is draft documentation for the new installers and daemon work set for a future release. Once this is all set and agreed upon we can move this to the BUG.
Installation
Installers
Apache Directory Server provides the following installers:

Directory Structure
- Supports multiple configuration instances that are seperate from the install image
- Linux/Unix directory structure follows current install practices on these platforms
- Java JVM parameters are configured seperately for each instance
The new installers for Linux/Unix support a new directory structure that follows best practices on these platforms.
Configuration
Daemon
All installers on every platform now deploy the Tanuki Software Wrapper on every platform. The Tanuki Wrapper is an MIT licensed open source Java daemon.
