Website Design proposal from Nykola

Here is a proposal from my friend Nykola for Apache DS Website.

    The overall design looks great but there are some things that need to be improved.

    Things I love (smile) :

    • The colours look great.
    • The feather is very cool.

    Things I don't like (sad) :

    • The logo is a little too dark. It may be a good idea to use a lighter logo (the white one for example).
    • I don't really like the graphic at the bottom left of each section.
    • I also don't really like the shadow on the webpage. I'd prefer a single gray line on each side for delimiting website area and maybe the same gradient as on Wicket Website.
    • I was thinking of a more grey colour for the text links on the left side.

    • Logo is great. And I like the dark colours, even with the logo. Looks serious – fits to a solid product
    • The feathers in the background are incredible
    • With the graphic (leaves) for the section headings I think these are to many different symbols (tree without leaves, feathers, leaf, ...) on the page. But I am not a designer

      Addition: My son Konstantin (4 years) says that the tree looks "super" (smile)
