Overview

There are several roles within the Gobblin Open-Source community.


PMC Member (a.k.a. Project Management Committee Member)

The PMC is a group of maintainers that drives changes in the way Gobblin is managed as a project. As we consider Apache, the role of the PMC is primarily to be ensure that Gobblin conforms to Apache processes and guidelines.


Committers/Maintainers

Committers are responsible for:

  • Championing one or more ideas
  • Reviewing & Merging Pull-Requests
  • Scanning and responding to JIRAs
  • Responding to questions on the dev mailing list ( dev@gobblin.incubator.apache.org )

Contributors

  • Fixing bugs
  • Adding features
  • Championing one or more ideas
