A very short history

The original NetBeans Python project was developed by Sun/NetBeans engineers. That project effectively ceased to exist around 2010.

After languishing for five years, The NBPython Project was resurrected as a standalone, all-volunteer project in December 2014,

We currently have a full-time project leader and nine part-time team members. Our website can be found at NBPython.org
