Apache CXF is an open source services framework. CXF helps you build and develop services using frontend programming APIs, like JAX-WS and JAX-RS. These services can speak a variety of protocols such as SOAP, XML/HTTP, RESTful HTTP, or CORBA and work over a variety of transports such as HTTP, JMS or JBI.

April 18August 15, 2011 - Apache CXF 2.4.0 is .2 and 2.3.6 are released!

The Apache CXF team is proud to announce the availability of the latest versionpatch releases: 2.4.0.2 and 2.3.6

There are a lot of new features and improvements over 90 JIRA issues fixed in 2.4.0 including major WS-Security enhancements, startup performance improvements, memory footprint improvements, JiBX databinding, a new log browser, better OSGi support, etc...Please see the migration guide for a complete description of the new features and for details about migrating from 2.3.x to 2.4.02 and more than 40 were ported back to 2.3.6. In addition, 2.4.2 provides new WS-Security functionality such as Kerberos token support.
