Sling community members gather from time to time for certain events. Usually these are centered around the adaptTo conference . We usually have two types of meetings:
- Sling Committers' Round table - a 1 hour informal discussion where we discuss various topics related to Sling. These are then used as inputs for detailed discussions on the Sling dev list. No actual decisions are taken but the face-to-face time is used to explore some ideas more quickly
- Sling Hackathon - a 1 day sit-down-and-code gathering where we aim to explore / implement changes in Sling, taking advantage of the large density of coders in a single room
